Beginner Plus
This rider is a confident road bike rider and has tried off-road enduro a time or two, though it’s not yet a regular activity. They are comfortable handling an enduro bike on dirt or gravel tracks, including the odd rocks or ruts. They haven’t ridden much (or perhaps at all) in sand or deeper terrain. They may occasionally stand up on the bike for trickier bits, but might not yet feel confident shifting gears or using the rear brake while standing. They prefer a more relaxed pace, enjoying the trail, scenery and experience rather than full-throttle.Intermediate & Advanced
These are riders who practice enduro more regularly (intermediate) and advanced riders are simply a step up in pace, commitment and technical ability. The intermediate rider enjoys single-track with rocks, ruts, steep climbs or descents, and although they may not love sand, they can handle it. They feel comfortable riding while standing up, shifting gears and using the rear brake on the move, and they like to maintain a faster pace, relishing both the challenge and the adrenaline. Advanced riders share all of the above, and in addition are confident navigating complex terrain sections, moving smoothly and pushing harder over the full ride.A reminder: These are long days in the saddle as we ride 5-6 hours per day. So physical fitness and strong concentration are important. Even for experienced riders, mental fatigue can set in if the terrain is demanding or the pace high.

4-star comfort meets epic riding. Stay at the Porto Covo Praia Hotel & Spa, unwind in the sauna after a full day on the trails, and ride in small, skill-matched groups. Just 4 riders per group (max 5 for friends). Less waiting, more riding, and the personal touch that makes all the difference.
-
If you’ve never ridden off-road before, we recommend starting with a 2-day solo session midweek (Tuesday to Thursday).
This gives you the time and personal attention you deserve as you experience enduro for the first time, without the pressure of keeping up with a group.
It’s a relaxed, supportive way to build confidence, learn the basics, and discover just how much fun trail riding can be.
